Using the AI Sound Effect helps you create the best sound effects for your content. Here in Genny, you can input your own creativity through our AI-generated sound effects feature.

This tutorial will take you through the steps to generate your first sound effect and how to add it to your project.

AI Sound Effect is free to use for all Pro, Pro+, and Enterprise users. You can visit our pricing page or check your subscription in Genny for a full breakdown of what is included in each plan.

Let’s jump right in!

Step 1 – Open AI Sound Effect

To use AI Sound Effect, you need to create a new project or have an existing project open.

Once you have opened your project, click on the “AI Generator” icon located on the left-hand side.

Next, click on the “AI Sound Effect” icon on the left.

Step 2 – Generate Your Sound Effect

Type in a description of whatever sound effect you want to generate into the prompt box. Your prompt must be under the 150-character limit.

Set the Output Duration from 1 second to 10 seconds using the slide bar under the prompt text box.

Then, click “Create” to start the sound effect generation process. If the generated sound is not to your liking, you can click on the “Create” button again with the same prompt or try changing the prompt.

Once you generate sound effects, you can listen to the audio with the play button.

| Reminder: You can generate and recreate AI sound effects as many times as you like without using any generation credit. In addition, any sound effects you create using AI Sound Effect can be used for commercial purposes.

Step 3 – Add Or Save Your Sound Effect

Once you have decided on the sound effect you want to use, you have the option of adding it directly to your project or downloading the sound effect or accessing it at a later date in the “Generation History” tab.

To access the Generation History, just click on the “Generation History” icon on the left-hand side. This is where all your images and sound effects you generated are stored automatically and can be accessed at a later date.

If you want to download your sound effects, just click on the download button next to the generated audio.

If you decide to add directly to your project, click the “Add to Project” button, and the sound effect will then appear in the Timeline Editor as an audio block. Here you will be able to drag it to adjust when and how long it appears in your project.

And that’s all there is to it!
